Why We Named Our App Musey

When we started building Musey, we knew we were creating more than just an app. We wanted a space where people could save and share the experiences that genuinely matter — the restaurants they love, the hidden gems they stumble into, the small adventures that deserve to be remembered and passed along. Choosing the right name felt important, because Musey needed to feel like the kind of place you’d want to come back to every day.

The name Musey comes from the word muse: a spark of inspiration. A muse is something that makes you feel curious, creative, or excited about the world — and that’s exactly what we hope Musey becomes for people. But we also wanted a name that was warm, friendly, and uniquely its own. Adding the “-y” made it feel playful, modern, and memorable… like a little companion encouraging you to explore and capture the things you love.

There’s another layer to the name Musey, too. For us, it stands for Magical, Unique, Shared Experiences… with You.
